Patio just got poured on Friday.
Driveway, front steps and sidewalk on Friday too
The patio has this brushed fan look....makes me think of something my grandma Helen would have chosen...looks fancy. She would want glitter sprinkled in as well.

Christmas 2012 is almost here!

Tess--Liberty Youth Chorus--Holiday Concert. Brought tears to my eyes.
Jane asked for a guinea pig. She is not getting one.
Kate's Christmas concert at school. She is on the second row, second reindeer from the left.
Jane at Christmas pagent practice for church. This is pretty much how each practice went. Goof around, stand up and sing, goof around some more. The pagent was lastnight and was wonderful...I took those pictures with the "real" camera. sorry.
Merry Christmas!
Tess 11yrs, Kate 6yrs, Jane 4yrs.

House is buzzing with activity...inside and out.

The house got painted on Sunday! It is a light gray and we are thrilled with the color. We are going against the grain by picking a light color compared to all the dark colored houses in the neighborhood. When the girls asked me "why?" I mistakenly said "I'm bringing sexy back...." You can imagine how many people they have repeated that comment to. It has also reminded us how much we loooove some Justin Timberlake.
We have a roof. Bring on the snow. see below...
Jane enjoyed the 17 minutes of snow yesterday.

Isn't she lovely.....

Isn't she won-der-ful? Tess had a piano and vocal recital this past Sunday. When she sings she lights up the stage. When she plays the piano she makes me tear up. Somedays it is a struggle to get her to practice, but the results are awesome, even to her. She had complete strangers seeking her out after the recital to compliment her. I heard one woman tell her she was gifted musically and that she hoped Tess would continue to use her talent for the rest of her life. *sigh* I stood back and listened, and later asked Tess how that made her feel to hear someone, that wasn't biologically required to tell her she did great, say such nice things. "It feels weird, mom"
weird=good, I think.
So proud of my girl. She is a natural when it comes to performing. She loves to sing. She does not love the piano, but plays it like she does...so I will have to be content with that.

She just keeps on being funny.....

Yet another funny Jane-ism from this morning. I would have added it onto yesterday's post, but the four people that actually read this blog have already read it.
I was getting dressed, standing in my underwear, when Jane walked into the bedroom. She looked at me, said "nice boobs, mom" and walked right on out. While I am pretty sure she was simply referring to the patterned bra I was wearing, I am going to take the compliment for what she said.
