Kate is our dancer girl. All my girls like to dance, but Kate has always had "it"......the coordinated moves, the facial expressions, the long blonde hair, and this passion for dancing.
I can still remember her asking me one morning, before we ran errands, how much longer till we left. When I told her about 20 minutes, she said "good, I've got to get my dancing done". She went to her room, closed her door, turned on the music and didn't come out until it was time to leave. We would love to find an outlet to channel her love for dancing, without enrolling her in an actual dance class. She doesn't want to learn tap/ballet/jazz etc.....she wants to groove. And tumble. This girl loves acrobatics and tumbling. I did find a tumbling class in town that she could enroll in when she is 6 years old. Her age, the ability to do both right and left handed cartwheels, and ability to do a back bend and return to standing are the requirements. She has two of the three items, but the back bend is our goal for the winter. I just get the feeling that things of the dancing/acro nature are going to be Kate's "thing" instead of most sports, which will be new territory for these parents.
